Trecom Security 360 Conference – Artificial Intelligence in the Spotlight
On Friday, May 24, 2024, the fourth edition of the nationwide conference "Trecom Security 360" took place at YouNick Technology Park, organized by one of our long-term tenants, Trecom Poznań.
Artificial intelligence in cybersecurity is a double-edged sword – on one hand, it can be the foundation of breakthrough technologies that allow for the detection of previously unknown threats and significantly enhance the level of cybersecurity within an organization. On the other hand, that same power in the hands of cybercriminals can be used to create new methods of breaching security measures.
The conference was held in a hybrid format. The in-person segment welcomed over 120 attendees at YouNick, while the entire event was streamed online with live broadcasting, allowing participation from anywhere in the world!
Participation in Trecom Security 360 events is free, with prior registration on the organizer's website.
Our conference rooms and the space at YouNick Technology Park once again underwent transformation to meet the needs of this demanding event. However, the real applause for the organization goes to the Trecom Poznań team—the initiators and producers of this meticulously crafted event!
The conference was opened by Edward Nowicki from Trecom Poznań, who introduced participants to the topic of “AI in Cybersecurity.” Tomasz Matuła, an experienced IT and cybersecurity consultant, posed a key question: “Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity – a passing trend or a real necessity?” This served as a starting point for further discussions. The next speaker, Łukasz Bromirski from Cisco, in his presentation “AI Won't Solve Your Cybersecurity Problems,” highlighted the limitations of AI in this field, emphasizing the need for a proper approach to implementing these technologies. Tomasz Pietrzyk from Palo Alto Networks presented AI as a tool for enhancing resilience against cyber threats, while Marcin Soja from Splunk discussed the “Splunk Resilience & Observability” platform, which enables the creation of threat-resistant organizations. After a break, Seweryn Jodłowski from SentinelOne presented the topic “Purple AI – Is There a Chat GPT for Cybersec?” and Krzysztof Gortat, CEO of SecureVisio, discussed practical applications of AI in the daily functioning of security systems. The substantive part of the conference concluded with presentations by Bartłomiej Śliwiński from Trecom and Mirosław Maj from the Safe Cyber Space Foundation. Śliwiński addressed the intelligence needed for effective Red Team operations, while Maj focused on how AI is used in offensive actions against organizations. The conference ended with a summary by Edward Nowicki from Trecom Poznań, who emphasized the importance of continuous education and development in the context of cyber threats.
Huge congratulations to the organizers and participants of the event – it was a pleasure to host you in our spaces!

Research and Development (R&D) is an area that not only enables the creation of new products but also allows for the optimization of existing processes, improved efficiency, and the introduction of groundbreaking solutions. R&D departments are the heart of biotech companies, merging science and technology in the pursuit of breakthrough discoveries that have a real impact on health, the environment, and people's quality of life.
The Role of R&D Departments in Biotechnology
Biotechnology is a field that demands both advanced knowledge and access to cutting-edge research tools. This is where R&D departments play a crucial role. With appropriate resources such as laboratories, specialized equipment, and highly skilled scientists, biotech companies can develop new therapies, vaccines, bioproducts, and innovative technologies related to healthcare and environmental protection.
Last Thursday, despite the rainy weather, we successfully conducted another on-site blood donation campaign at YouNick. Once again, our conference rooms were transformed into a comfortable space adapted for medical staff and all blood donors, who could conveniently share what is most precious – their own blood.
